Although it is the upper half of a building with an apartment on the lower level, because of the terracing it is, in effect, an independent house.

Its most notable feature is the splendid view of the walled town looking over olive groves to the basilica of San Francesco (floodlit at night).

On both sides of the house are wide terraces with a low wall that give uninterrupted views of Assisi, the wide valley and the hills beyond.

It is about a kilometre to the town on a hillside with other residential property. It is quite private.

It is a three bedroom/three bathroom house.

There is one double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a further double or twin with cot with bathroom alongside, a loft bedroom has a further bathroom.

From the front door you enter a dining/sitting room with arch to fitted kitchen with great view. Also: satellite TV, all windows with nets, electronic entry drive-in through iron gates.

From Assisi, good roads give touring possibilities for the rest of historic Umbria and eastern Tuscany.

Weekly Rental: £470 all year - heating included when required.

£200 booking deposit per week - rest within six weeks of departure
