| Gorgacce We just loved our two weeks at Gorgacce. We went to Cortona, Siena, Lake Trasimeno and Montone, but to be honest, I just enjoyed staying "at home" and relaxing. The people in Mercatale were really friendly and helpful and we had some wonderful meals. I'm sure we'll be back. PN, 2007.
Just a brief note to thank you for your help with our first
holiday in Italy. As you said we would, we had a great time
and loved Italy and the people. The weather was not quite as
good as we had hoped with a severe thunderstorm to greet us
on arrival. However it did not dampen our spirits. We did quite
a lot of travelling (prob too much but some of it was necessary)
and our favourite place was Cortona.

A much belated e-mail to say what a lovely time we had
at Gorgacce at the beginning of June. As it was our first holiday
abroad with our young son, we were a little anxious but the
villa, its location and facilities served to allay any anxieties
and we had a wonderful, relaxing time.

Just to thank you both for the very enjoyable two weeks
that we have just spent at Casa Gorgacce. We found the house
very comfortable and the pool was especially enjoyable with
the hot weather that we had. We toured around the area taking
in Florence, Assisi, Cortona and Isola Maggiore amongst other
places and enjoyed several meals out as well.

The Casa suited us well and was indeed very private.
We found so much to do within the local area - in fact we didn't do all we had planned !
We did use Martin's walk book and did 3 varied and interesting walks from it.
