We loved it, was the nicest villa we have ever stayed. Vittorio was fantastic as well he really is very helpful as was Simonette.

We had an absolutely magnificent time at i Bassi -- thank you so much for making this lovely place available. We appreciated greatly the love and care that has been expended on the villa and grounds. Everyone loved the kitchen in which we prepared great suppers, eating outside under the stars accompanied by hundreds of fireflies blinking like christmas lights. My grandchildren loved the pool, played many games of table tennis and crochet and loved the swings. You truly have thought of everything. The highlight for me was when I was taking my daily walk. I was about half way up the dirt road and as I came around the bend there was a large wild boar and four baby boars. I slowly turned not wanting to disturb Mama boar for I heard that boars can be quite dangerous and tiptoed quietly back down the hill. At night we would sit out on the grass and listen to the boars talking to each other.
We will all have wonderful fond memories of i Bassi and our two weeks in beautiful Tuscany.CL,2010

I just wanted to say (on behalf of the whole party) how much we enjoyed our stay in Italy at I Bassi in July. This is a truly beautiful villa in an idyliic spot. We found Nicola to be very helpful and Vittorio is an absolute gem and we found it very sad when we had to say goodbye.

-Truly a treasure your're sharing by renting--the perfect size for us--grandparents, 3 children with
spouses, and one 6 month old grandchild. How perfectly supplied with pool, swings,walks and even a ping pong table. Everyone loved the Miele coffee bar and has been behind a "campaign" to
get one; but for us the pure luxury was Maria Luisa, her wonderful dinners, tender heart, and peridic babysitting - outings for all, cooking for no-one. S, 2007
A lot of thought and good design has gone into the villa, its contents and the grounds.
What we particularly liked:
1. Arezzo and Anghiari--both really worth visiting
2. The Ipod connection. Wish we had brought more than one Ipod
3. Walking down the track which continues past the house, past the forest,
off the track and into the meadows, idyllic.

The accommodation was of a very good standard, also the pool & grounds and we enjoyed Tuoro and the surrounding area very much.

Our family and friends have now stayed at the appartamenti del porto in Tuoro sul Trasimeno for a number of times over the last five years and are rebooking for summer 2008. Its good but basic accomodation (now with a pool), within walking distance to shops and bars and close to the delights of Lake Trasimeno. Its not a tourist town but a welcoming and delightful Italian experience.
Also as a base to travel to the wonders of umbria and tuscany this is is ideal with access by car or train easily to perugia, assissi, Florence, Sienna and even Rome

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Appartamenti
del Porto. The accommodations were just just what we had anticipated
and suited our needs very well. The local contact folks were attentive
to our needs. The location was perfect for our plans for day trips
to various places in Tuscany and Umbria. Our sojourn at the Appartamenti

We travel to Italy every year and have always enjoyed it.
What an idyllic villa, all the comforts of home, plenty to do in and around the villa and the scenery is really stunning.
We have never used Gorgacce before but we certainly will do in future.

The holiday was great and we were really pleased with the house.
It's in an ideal location with an array of places to visit. The pool is just what was needed and the house is very comfortable and well equipped.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Gorgacce very much. All our family members felt very comfortable and liked the place a lot. We had never rented a house that was so well taken-care of and nicely equipped with spare material, appliances, etc. The kids enjoyed the pool which was very clean and the house is beautifully furnished. We had the feeling of staying in the house of a friend. What made our holiday even more relaxing was the vast collection of travel information of the region we found and used, as well as the good collection of DVDs. We also used the barbecue several times and enjoyed quiet nights. PW, 2010

The area is really pretty with lots of interesting towns etc to visit
We especially enjoyed the wine tasting and tour and meal, Martin made it

We just loved our two weeks at Gorgacce. We went to Cortona, Siena, Lake Trasimeno and Montone, but to be honest, I just enjoyed staying "at home" and relaxing. The people in Mercatale were really friendly and helpful and we had some wonderful meals. I'm sure we'll be back. PN, 2007.
Thank you for such attention to detail that allowed us to have a wonderful stay at Gorgacce. It was such a lovely villa and our only regret was that we didn't book it for another week. We also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the table tennis.
