| Casa Lucati Our stay at Casa Lucati was exceptional. Enjoyed the villa and beautiful grounds. There was plenty of room for everyone. Our granddaughter lived in the pool when possible. . I really appreciated the fully appointed kitchen in Casa Jerika and all the fresh herbs! Also enjoyed eating at Mimi’s and I Girasoli’s. Martin handled everything beautifully.
Our days were busy with trips to Cortona, Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto, Montepulciano, and Castiglione del lago.
My favorite part of the day was watching the 6:30 am sunrise out our bedroom window. Listening to the tractor and sheep in the distance made the moment even more magical.

the accommodation was superb. The location, food, surroundings
and people were also very good which all made for a great holiday. The guide you have in the
villa proved very useful and we would comment that the food and
staff at the organic farm restaurant (a few km down the valley) was superb. Mimi's was also
superb. So good we went twice. I'm not sure I have eaten so much in one
sitting before and it's a shame we couldn't bring home a few barrels of
their lovely fruity home made white wine! The local bakers and butchers (in
particular the spit roast pork they supplied on one day!) was also superb.
I would also add that the people cleaning the pool and watering
the plants on the Wednesday were also very polite and did a good job.

May I say…. That Casa Lucati was absolutely everything
we could hope for PLUS MORE!!!!! We had a wonderful time
– the only gripe being that we should have been there for
two weeks instead of just one!!! Am enclosing a view from
the bedroom window…….. a photographers paradise….
(I managed to take 1608 photos in 2 weeks). Have recommended yourselves
to many people. SG.
We had a delightful week in this idyllic setting-we enjoyed some scenic drives, interesting towns, great shopping and a fabulous time was had by all.
The local baker, butcher and supermarket in Mercatale are excellent. There is no need to travel further.
